Jack attack

Jack will be 6 months old this coming Saturday. Here are some recent pictures:

 

He now likes to eat carrots, squash and sweet potatoes.

We visited Vashon Island recently. I'm not entirely sure where we went; I didn't drive.

Jack loves pulling hair.

He also enjoys swimming.

And attempting to consume anything and everything.

Back on the grid

For the first time in about four years, I have internet access that costs money. No more logging in to some unknown neighbor's unsecured wireless network that only works when I wedge myself into the corner of the living room and hold my laptop an awkward angle. No more going to a coffee shop for a more reliable connection—the amount of money I end up spending on coffee in a month usually exceeds the amount of money broadband internet access costs anyway.

By posting this, I am effectively committing myself to more frequent blog posts. Expect more pictures of Jack, but also much more varied content. I have been working towards finishing a solid draft of my novel by the end of summer, and this blog is about to become a vehicle for shameless self-promotion. Tell your friends.

5 Mile Drive

Last week, Brittany, Jack and I drove out to Point Defiance. We stopped at a viewpoint off 5 Mile Drive that Brittany and I used to visit on long bike rides, before our bikes were stolen. I miss my bike.

Stefansson family update

Yesterday, Brittany, Jack and I went on a day trip and visited our friend Veronica in Bellingham. The picture below was taken at Boulevard Park. Jack is looking at a fascinating rock.

Jack is three months old already

Here are a few new pictures of Jack. According to Wii Fit, he now weighs 18 pounds. He's already almost too big for his changing table.

Jack is two months old

Jack is two months old today! Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks:

We went for a walk when it snowed a couple weeks ago. Jack slept the entire time we were out. Mom kept him nice and warm.

Jack loves reading Calvin and Hobbes. He needs help holding the book, though.

This is the first photographic evidence I have managed to capture of the apparition that frequently appears in our house. Jack never seems to mind, but Brittany gets kind of creeped out when the curtains start billowing for no apparent reason.
