Farmers Market Week in Washington State

To recognize their growing importance to consumers, farmers and the economy, Gov. Chris Gregoire, the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) and the Washington State Farmers Market Association (WSFMA) are celebrating Farmers Market Week in Washington Aug. 1-7.

Check out my article on the subject here.

In other news, some guy (pictured left) went to the hospital thinking he'd been shot in the head, but really, he'd only been hit by a bottle of water.

According to a criminal complaint:

Police were called Thursday night after the man went to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with what he said was a gunshot wound to the head. He told police his sister or her friend shot him with a small gun.

He was incorrect.

Here's the whole story.
